Article #43: The Positive Change

Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, has been quoted as saying “change is the only constant in life.” It means we all experience changes every day, may it can be a change in the climate, change in the place that you live, change in the people that you interact, in fact the change within yourself. Change is the only thing we can be sure that would happen.    Well as part of this article, I am going to talk about the positive change I experienced during my 2 years of journey in Toastmasters.    It was August 2018 when I officially became a Toastmaster. Article #42: The Unexpected Circus

Gone are the days when Indian Arranged marriages used to happen easily with the interaction and help from the family relatives and friends. Now, with the change in the people’s lifestyle and way of thinking, things have become so complicated that it seems next to impossible to get their son or daughter married. We got many new things in place like the mediators or marriage brokers (never call them a broker, it hurts), Professional wedding planners, Match Making Consultancies, BharatMatrimony.com, JeevanSaathi.com, Shaadi.com and what not.   In the middle of nowhere, comes Giridhar, that is me, who is ready for the marriage. “ Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho … to poori kainath use tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai ”, one of the famous dialogues from the Bollywood Movie Om Shanti Om. It means that if you wish something from your heart, then the entire universe will try to fulfill it. I believe the same thing happened in the case of my High-Performance Leadership project wherein my universe comprised of my project team, project guidance committee and the guests' team.  This article is all about my most ambitious project, HPL in the journey of Toastmasters.
