Article#1: Rain in the City

Upon looking at the title, you may think what's new in that!! Well, there's nothing new with rain in the city, but there's something new with my experience during rain in the city. Here I go...
It was night 10:30, As usual end of my office shift. Came out, saw a heavy rain with air, thunders and lighting. Waiting eagerly to go home as I was a bit tired after a long day and work, but the situation was too hard to move that I cannot even reach the parking area where I had my bike. Thought I should see for some time, just talking with my colleague and waiting for the rain to slow down. One hour passed by, and it looked like the pouring almost came to an end. Somehow, got my helmet, got my rain coat and started my bike. Just crossed 2-3 kilometres and again it started like anything. There was no shelter nearby to stop somewhere, even didn't have the thought, of course, as the only intention was to get out of the situation as soon as possible. Yeah, even earlier I got stuck in these kind of situations but this time it’s never like before. A bit of excitement, a bit of adventurousness, a bit of disgusting and a bit of helplessness, some mixed feelings surrounded me. At the time when I was trying to stop somewhere, yeah finally I stopped somewhere. But where? At the wrong place. Due to a long traffic with full of vehicles in and around. There was no place to move and had to stuck where I was for nearly an hour. From one side, the sound and air pollution due to traffic, from the other side continuous pouring. The reason why the jam was just because of the rain water in between. Okay, after some time, made a move. This time it reached its peaks, I was like” what the ____” Not even able to see what was in front, what was going from my side, for some 10-15 minutes I was almost out of this world, not even knowing where I was heading to. And in between, the roads were scraped for quite some time and not been re-topped yet. They were rough and difficult for motorists to ply on. Gravel and pebbles add to the difficulties. At some areas, there was no electricity as usual due to rain, it was too dark to drive with the only bike head light. Finally, decided not to complain of anything and thus somehow managed to reach the destination. A long journey of almost 90 minutes (instead of usual 30 minutes) came to an end.
One lesson to learn here is never give up, whatever the situation you are in. Keep trying and keep giving your best. And trust me, not everything remains permanent. May it can be the positive things or negatives. Keep faith in yourself and keep going.
There comes the end of my first article and Here’s Giridhar signing off for today....
