Article#3: Love
A bold title, isn’t it? I know by this time your facial expressions would have completely changed. Some people would give a smile with little shyness on their face and some, just have a weird expression on what this entire article is going to be about!! Well, it’s not something new, not even something that is odd, but it is something what everyone of us do and experience, but never dare to talk about. If you reach to a conclusion that I am going to highlight about that love which everyone of us take by default, then let me correct you. That kind of love is going to be only the part of this article, but not completely about :-) Yes, now you are on the right track, it’s about the universal love that this article is all about.
15 years back, the time when I was in school, during one of the lessons, there came this concept “Love”. And every one of us just started looking at each other with a smile on our face. Our teacher gave an appropriate response by saying that it cannot be considered only in that way and love can exist between any two human beings, may it can be a mother-child, two friends, two colleagues, you and your grandparents, siblings, a guy and a girl, husband and wife, in fact you and your pet, it can be between any two. Although we stopped the smile on our face, the shyness remained in our heart that time on listening that four letter word again and again.
10 years back, the time when I was in a computer educational institute to learn some courses, I even used to attend communication skills classes. More often, we were given an opportunity to speak about some topic on stage. One fine day, when I started my speech with this keyword, everyone in the class gave some odd expressions Our mentor himself was a bit surprised, but gave me a chance to proceed. The reason why I took this topic at that time was because I was trying to understand slowly what my teacher had told on that day, five years back and I was exactly not sure what would be the public’s reaction towards my thoughts. Although my speech ended with a round of applause, I was still unsure if this kind of topic can be discussed further anywhere because people only judge you with that word instead of listening to your complete speech wherein the real essence lies.
7 years back, the time when I was in college, again we got an opportunity for a public speech. One of my friend really raised the temperature by discussing about Indian Politics which usually most of the college going guys feel uninteresting except one or two. It went for some time with a debate in between and I noticed that most of my friends felt boring. As soon as his speech ended, I took the next chance and told that I would like to cheer up everyone and wrote this four letter word “Love” on the black board. Can you imagine what happened? There was a huge sound after a long silence from my class with continuous laughs from everyone including me of course. My lecturer asked me not to discuss anything about it and just come out of the stage. I requested her to give me a chance after which she agreed and asked me first to rub that word on the black board. I did so and continued with my speech, by saying that love exists in different forms and cannot be taken only in a single way. That time itself I understood that my school teacher gave a matured meaning of love and also that there’s nothing wrong in discussing about it as even my college lecturer appreciated me later that I was too dare enough to speak on such things.
Experiences aside, the ideology is correct. Love cannot be considered as just something that exists between a guy and girl, in fact the entire world is full of love. I believe we get the purest love or I can say unconditional love from our parents, especially from our mothers. A mother loves her child even if it is not vice versa, she never expects anything in return, but is ready to give everything that she has. Your friend may always care for you and helps you in difficult times, maybe he never says that he loves you, but it is another form of love that he just expresses through his actions. Your grandparents will always be ready to spend some time with you and even make you happy with their special gifts, that is another kind of love. Although you and your sibling fight a lot, at the end of the day, you care for your sibling because you love him/her very much, may be never you agree on that. It’s another kind of love.
Then you have the love which everyone of us consider by default. Why this kind of love is so special? Because this just binds two unknown people to stay for a long time together. Sometimes, you’ll get to know what it is, but sometimes it happens unknowingly and later at some point of time, you’ll realize is it so? In fact, this cannot be just defined by any means, it should be just felt. I’m not sure how many of you believe in having a soul-mate, but I do believe. I think it’s someone with whom you can be one and the same in and out, it’s someone who can read your mind by just looking at your face after you get to know them in short span,it's someone who accepts you as you including your positives and negatives, it’s someone who can predict your actions for any kind of situations, It’s someone for whom you turn back while leaving and see that they are also turning back just to tell you a bye. Seems filmy but it’s true. And it’s someone for whom you can be possessive and jealous about, It’s even that only someone with whom you are obsessed with. Also it’s someone who is ready to give you anything in double if you ask for only single, it’s someone who always cares for you in a way that no one does, it’s someone for whom you feel like doing anything and going to any extent. And the list goes on because like I said, it’s something only that you can feel, but not express in anyway.
By this time, the conclusion would have been clear. Love is universal, try not to consider it only in one way. Take love in a broad sense and keep loving everyone. Of course for all the bachelors/Bachelorettes, turn on your search, who knows even you may find your soul-mate. Good luck :-)
Well, here’s the end of my third article, “Love”. The next article is going to be a bit frightening. So stay tuned. Till then keep reading, keep loving :-) :-)
