Article #68 : The Trust Factor

“Trust starts with Truth and ends with Truth”, What do you say?

Well, in this article, I am going to narrate a story that starts with trust and ends with trust.

Once upon a time, there was a young man called Rama who is talkative, cheerful, yet sensitive. Also, there was a young woman called Sita who is silent, smart and tough.

Rama met Sita and both of them decided to marry each other. They both used to have numerous conversations on phone, made so many promises, shared so many things and above all, trusted each other. They believed that the foundation of their relationship was only honesty and trust.

The wedding happened grandly and they embarked on their new life together.

Just in a span of week, Rama noticed a huge difference in Sita’s behavior. The one who used to respect him before marriage started showing disrespect in her actions straight after the marriage. The one who used to say that she never likes arguments before marriage started arguing with him for smallest of the small things after marriage. The one who used to convince him to stop any kind of small disagreements or arguments before marriage started fighting with him endlessly after marriage. Rama was shocked to see this change. He tried to explain her, but Sita neither listened to him nor understood him.

During their first meeting in person, Rama told Sita that in future if they would be having any kind of fights, let’s not involve a third person because according to him, involving a third person in their fight is no less than killing the relationship. Sita immediately said yes. But after marriage, Sita started involving people from both their families during their fights, Rama was again shocked and felt very bad.

Sita promised to call Rama respectfully before marriage. But She didn’t stand on her word after marriage. Slowly, Rama started losing the trust on Sita.

Beyond all this, Rama got to know that Sita started giving complaints against him to her family adding so many things that were not true. Rama was shattered.

Rama kept on thinking Is this the same Sita who used to say that she keeps nothing in her mind before marriage and now discusses each and everything on his back? Is this the same Sita who used to say that she doesn’t need anything, but now demands for so many things? Is this the same Sita who used to say that she accepts all the situations, but now ready to go to any extent if her wish is not fulfilled? Is this the same Sita who used to say that she would never question his actions, but now doing quite the opposite? Is this the same Sita who told that she would be very calm in all the situations, but kept on shouting at him now?

Rama completely lost his trust on Sita as there was truth neither in her words nor in her actions.

Rama cried his heart out before everyone that he trusted Sita a lot. A girl can exhibit a fake cry, but a guy cannot because guys were taught and trained not to cry and swallow their emotions. However, once a guy cries, that definitely comes out of a big storm from his heart. In fact, end of the day, even guys are humans right, even they have emotions and the same happened with Rama that he became emotional and cried that Sita simply played with his emotions. He broke in pieces. He neither had proper food nor sleep. Sita not only killed the relationship, but also killed him while he was alive. Rama went into depression. He lost himself and became so silent, very silent that he couldn’t even hear his inside voice. On the other hand, Sita was happy for her victory that finally she enabled Rama to talk with her after a long gap, but the least she knows that she went miles away from Rama.

Rama spent his entire life with Sita. Years passed by, but Rama’s question remained the same, why did Sita cheat him? What did he do to her that she played with his emotions? He stopped thinking over it along with time as he knows that Sita would never admit her mistake. There was nothing in their relationship. Perhaps, Sita would have understood how much she deceived Rama through her words and actions. Sita would have earned the trust and everything would have been back to normal. What do you say? By this time, you would have got the point that I would like to drive home today. Trust is the foundation of any relationship, if that breaks there is no meaning for the relationship. There is nothing one can achieve in a relationship after breaking the trust of a person. Above all, it may take few minutes to break the trust, but it will take years again to earn the trust. So, let's ensure that we take care of this Trust Factor for maintaining a healthy relationship with all our loved ones. What's your say on this? Let me know in the comments below.
