Article #80 : The Unconventional Actor
How many of you like to watch movies? Do you also aspire to become an actor or an actress in your life? But what are you going to do when life doesn't give you a chance for your aspiration?
Well, Today I am going to narrate the story of an unconventional actor to answer these questions.
Once upon a time in one of the small towns of India, there was a born actor named Giridhar. Ever since childhood, he used to love acting so much that he used to feel the characters that he watched in a film or a TV Show.
Sometimes he used to play the role of a hero like Shaktimaan and sometimes he used to become the villain, Khilwish, "Andhera kayam rahega hamesha". He didn't even leave the overacting ladies in the daily soap operas, who give only one expression most of the times with one word, "Kya, Kya, Kya"
From imitating the characters to repeating the dialogues to dressing up like an actor, Giridhar used to do many things as a kid. Obviously, he used to be the first participant in all his school dramas.
But the strange part was as he grew up, unknowingly he started applying his acting skills in his real life. From acting as if he was fainted in the class for not doing homework to coming up with his hiccups in his own style to showcasing his crocodile tears even before his teacher hits him, Giridhar used to do many things to save himself.
As he reached college, he was inspired by Allu Arjun. He used to be one of the most active and energetic guys in his class. Writing the word 'Love' on a blackboard to proposing his classmate as 'I love you as a friend' to flirting with girls with 'feel my love' song, everything was inspired by Allu Arjun's movies like Arya, Desamuduru, etc
Besides this, when he was told by his friends that the word, 'Ouch' which he started using regularly is a girl's word, he used to question them by asking, "Why did Shahrukh Khan used the same word 'Ouch' many times in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna?"
And then there was an incident when Giridhar missed a local bus somewhere at the outskirts of Vizag along with his friends as they visited ANITS college for giving a paper presentation. Everyone of them were worried as there were no mobiles with them to know the details of next bus. But Giridhar felt excited just like how Kareena Kapoor misses her train in the film 'Jab we met' and still feels excited on her journey with Shahid Kapoor.
As the time passed by, knowingly or unknowingly, Giridhar got into the corporate world. But the actor in him is still alive. From giving a fake smile to his rude managers to fake excuses for his sick leaves, Giridhar wakes up the actor in him every now and then. In fact, he feels that he is no different than the character of 'Ved' from Tamasha movie as in office and once he reaches home, he steps into the shoes of the character, 'Aisha' from 'Wake Up Sid' who loves to lead an organized life. As soon as he goes for a trip, he becomes 'Bunny' from 'Yeh Jawani hai deewani' who loves to explore each and every place and has FOMO that he might miss out something great. However, all thanks to a place called Toastmasters where he doesn't have to act as there's no one to judge him.
Apart from this, Giridhar maintains a YouTube Channel, named 'The Unconventional Actor' wherein he showcases his acting skills to the world. It includes Dubsmash videos like "Vallani noru musko mani cheppachu kada Roopa, neeku nachani vishayalu matladithe, just say Shut up", "Shut up"
If you had keenly observed, you would have understood one thing from Giridhar's Dramatic Story. When life doesn't give you a chance to become what you want to, then give life a chance to become what you want to. Always there exists an alternate way to achieve your aspiration waiting to be discovered. A penny for your thoughts.
